You’ve built the life you planned. Something underneath it hasn’t moved. Professional psychotherapy that builds real self-awareness and inspires meaningful, lasting change.

Some of what brings people here

You can see the pattern clearly. Seeing it has never been enough to stop it.

The same argument, a different person

The relief lasted about a week. Then the flatness came back, and you told no one.

You got the thing you worked for

The one other people deal with, and the one you actually live with. The gap keeps widening.

Two versions of you

Dr. Simrin Kang (He/Him)

Most people who reach out to me are doing well by every external measure. The difficulty is more private: a relational pattern that repeats regardless of who they’re with, a flatness that achievement never quite touched, or a widening gap between the public self and the private one.

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist in California (PSY 34177) with over a decade of clinical and forensic experience. The work I offer is psychoanalytic, unhurried, and conducted by secure video anywhere in the state. It’s aimed at structural change rather than symptom management.

Sessions are $275, weekly or twice weekly, by secure video anywhere in California. A limited number of reduced-fee places are sometimes open.

Fifteen minutes on the phone is usually enough to tell whether this is the right fit. You can describe what’s bringing you here, ask whatever you want about how I work, and I’ll be clear with you if I think someone else would serve you better. No cost, no obligation.
